Competition in the Ukrainian medical device market will increase
The government abolished the 10% marginal surcharge. This decision will allow to expand the range of foreign medical devices – convinced operators of medical devices in Ukraine. Competition will intensify and prices for medical supplies, tools, implants and equipment are likely to fall.
On March 13, 2019, the Government’s decision to abolish the 10% limit on the supply of medical equipment for the purchase of medical equipment at the expense of the state and local budgets was published today in the Government Courier.
This decision was made to stop the dangerous trend: to reduce the range of germs, in particular for the treatment of patients with rare diseases, and to reduce competition in the market.
