The Ministry of Health of Ukraine will introduce the GMDN-classifier of medical devices

GMDN is an international classifier used to clearly identify materials, tools, implants and medical equipment. It enables doctors and purchasers to know the exact characteristics, properties and purpose of each product.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine plans to integrate the GMDN classifier into Prozorro’s electronic procurement system. This will optimize the procurement of medical facilities by healthcare facilities and prevent possible manipulation of the name and purpose of the medical facilities.
